What is a web view app?
A web view app, also called a wrapper app, is an iPhone app whose screens are a website shown inside a built-in browser view. It is a quick way to put an existing site in an app, because the app is mostly the site.
More about Web view app
Apple's App Review Guidelines ask an app to offer more than a repackaged website, so thin wrappers are often rejected under guideline 4.2, minimum functionality. A web view also misses many of the iPhone's own controls and features, and its pages load from the internet, so a slow connection shows up as blank or broken screens.
