How it works

From an idea to an app on your iPhone

Describe the app you want. Borel's crew plans it with you, builds it as a native SwiftUI app on Borel's own Mac, and puts it on your iPhone or the App Store.

Six steps

1
Describe it. Type the app you want in plain words, like “a habit tracker with streaks”. Penny can plan it with you first, and nothing gets built while you talk.
2
Rivet builds it. Rivet writes a native app in Swift with SwiftUI, Apple's own language and toolkit, and Xcode builds it on Borel's Mac. You never need a Mac of your own.
3
Try it on a live iPhone. Apple's iOS Simulator runs your app on Borel's Mac and streams it into your browser, so you tap, scroll and type as on a phone. It's free on Pro, and 0.4 credits a minute otherwise.
4
Keep shaping it. Ask for a change in the chat and Borel builds it into the real code, one message at a time.
5
Put it on your iPhone. Borel Companion, free for Windows and Mac, installs the app on your iPhone with your Apple ID: over a cable the first time, then over Wi-Fi. A free Apple ID holds 3 of your apps, and Companion signs each one again before its 7 days are up. It's a free download.
6
Publish with Stamp. Stamp checks the app for what Apple asks, and Publish sends it to the App Store: Borel builds, signs and uploads it on its Mac. Publishing takes Pro and an Apple Developer account, $99 a year paid to Apple.

Yours to keep, or to sell

Keep an app just for yourself on your home screen, with no App Store in between, or publish it and sell it with Apple's in-app purchases. Either way the code is yours: ordinary Swift and SwiftUI source you can download. Learn more in the docs.
