What is Expo?

Expo is an open-source platform built on React Native that makes mobile apps easier to start, run and ship. It includes ready-made modules for device features, the Expo Go app for trying a project on a phone, and EAS, Expo's cloud service that builds and submits apps.

More about Expo

Expo Go runs a project at once by loading its JavaScript, but only with the native modules Expo Go already includes; an app that needs others uses a development build instead.

Expo with Borel

Borel takes a different route: it writes native SwiftUI, builds the app with Xcode on its own Mac and streams it to your browser in the iOS Simulator. Borel Companion then puts the real app on your iPhone, with no Expo Go in between.
