What is a large language model (LLM)?
A large language model (LLM) is an AI model trained on huge amounts of text to understand and generate language. LLMs power chat assistants, and they also write code, summarise, translate and, in multimodal models, read what is in an image.
More about Large language model (LLM)
Inside an app, an LLM is usually reached over the internet through a provider's API, billed by use and protected by an API key that must stay on a server. Well-known families include OpenAI's GPT, Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini.
Large language model (LLM) with Borel
Borel uses LLMs twice: to write your app's Swift code from your description, and as Borel AI inside the apps you build, for a chatbot, an assistant, summaries or reading what is in a photo, with no API key or account from you.
