What is a universal iOS app?
A universal app is a single app that runs natively on both iPhone and iPad, with one App Store listing and one purchase. The developer marks which devices the app supports, and iOS gives it the whole screen on each one.
More about Universal app
SwiftUI makes this easier, because its layouts adapt to the space they get. An app made only for iPhone can still open on an iPad, but in a phone-sized window. On the App Store, a universal app shows screenshots for both, and anyone who gets it has it on both devices.
Universal app with Borel
Apps you build with Borel are made for iPhone, and the same app runs on iPad. You design and try it on an iPhone in the Simulator, and Borel sets the build up for both devices.
