What are App Store privacy labels?

App Privacy details, often called privacy nutrition labels, are the part of an App Store listing that says what data an app collects, whether that data is linked to the person and whether it is used to track them. Every developer fills them in, in App Store Connect, before a new app or update can be submitted.

More about App Privacy details

The answers cover the app and any outside code inside it, such as analytics or advertising tools. They are the developer's own statement, and an app whose label doesn't match what it does can be rejected or removed.

App Privacy details with Borel

When you publish, Borel works out your app's privacy answers from what its code actually uses, such as accounts, photos or location, and files them in App Store Connect for you. Each app also gets a privacy policy page that Borel hosts.
