Borel for coaches and personal trainers

An app for your coaching clients, in your own name

Borel lets coaches and personal trainers make their own native iPhone app for clients by describing it. Workouts, weekly check-ins and progress photos live in an app with your name on it, and Borel publishes it to the App Store for you.

Who it's for

Is this you?

  • Personal trainers who send programmes by message and want them in one place.
  • Coaches who run weekly check-ins and want answers that are easy to compare.
  • Online coaches who want a paid membership inside their own app.

Apps to make, with a prompt for each

Paste a prompt into Borel as it is, or change it to fit. Borel builds it while you watch.

  • A client workout app

Each client sees this week's sessions and logs every set.

    Prompt
Make a workout app for my personal training clients. Each client signs in and sees the sessions I wrote for this week, with exercises, sets, reps and a short video link for each. They log the weight and reps they did, and I see every client's log on a coach screen.

  • Weekly check-ins

The same questions every week, with answers you can compare over time.

    Prompt
Make a weekly check-in app for my coaching clients. Every week each client answers the same questions: sleep, energy, stress from 1 to 10, and a short note. Show each client's answers as simple charts over time, and give me a list of who has not checked in yet.

  • Progress photos

Side-by-side photos by date, private to each client and you.

    Prompt
Make a progress photo app. A client takes a front and side photo each month, and the app shows any two months side by side. Photos are private to that client and to me, their coach. Add a field for body weight with each set of photos.

  • A paid programme

A members area with your programmes, unlocked by a subscription.

    Prompt
Make an app for my online coaching programme. Anyone can see a free starter week. A monthly subscription, sold with in-app purchase, unlocks the full twelve-week programme, a weekly plan and a library of exercise notes. Use black, white and one bright accent colour.

What Borel handles

The hard parts, taken care of

Every app is native Swift, written and built for you. These parts come with it, with nothing to set up.

  • Accounts

Sign-in with email and password, so each client sees only their own plan and you see everyone's.

  • A database

A cloud database Borel runs for programmes and logs, and file storage for progress photos.

  • AI

Borel AI with no API key: a summary of a client's month, a friendly nudge written in your voice.

  • A live iPhone preview

A live iPhone in your browser, free on every plan, to go through it as a client would.

  • Install on your iPhone

Borel Companion puts the app on your own iPhone to coach from, with Pro.

  • Publish to the App Store

Clients download it from the App Store; Borel builds and uploads it for you, with Pro.

Borel apps keep their own records of workouts and check-ins; they do not read data from other fitness apps or watches. Apple Watch apps are not something Borel makes yet.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, for a digital membership or programme: Apple's In-App Purchase is fully supported, and Borel sets it up with the app. Apple reviews the app and its purchases before it goes live.

Not unless you ask for that. Tell Borel that each client sees only their own plans, logs and photos and that you, the coach, see everyone's, and it builds the app that way.

You can try every screen on a live iPhone in your browser for free, and put it on your own iPhone with Pro. To get it on clients' phones, publish it to the App Store.

Describe your app

Start from one of the prompts above, or say it in your own words. Trying it on the live iPhone is free.
