Borel for clubs and communities

A members app for your club or community

Borel lets clubs and community groups make their own iPhone app by describing it. Events with sign-ups, a member list, news and results live in one app with your club's name and colours, and Borel publishes it to the App Store for your members.

Who it's for

Is this you?

  • Sports clubs and teams with fixtures, training times and results to share.
  • Choirs, societies, faith groups and volunteer groups that run events and rotas.
  • Organisers tired of keeping everything in a group chat that buries every update.

Apps to make, with a prompt for each

Paste a prompt into Borel as it is, or change it to fit. Borel builds it while you watch.

  • Events and sign-ups

Every event with its place on a map and a list of who is coming.

    Prompt
Make an app for my running club. Members sign in and see upcoming runs with the date, time, distance and meeting point on a map. They tap I'm coming, and everyone can see who is going. Organisers can add and edit runs. Use our club colours, navy and yellow.

  • A member directory

Names, roles and photos, searchable, for members only.

    Prompt
Make a member directory for our choir. Members sign in and see everyone's name, photo, voice part and role, with a search box. Only signed-in members can see the directory. Each member can edit their own profile.

  • Club news and results

Posts from the committee and the latest results, newest first.

    Prompt
Make a news app for our football club. Committee members post news with a photo, and results with the score and scorers. Members see a feed, newest first, and can react with a thumbs up. Put this week's fixtures at the top.

  • A volunteer rota

Shifts people pick themselves, with gaps easy to spot.

    Prompt
Make a volunteer rota for our community food bank. Shifts are listed by day with how many people each needs. Volunteers sign in and pick shifts, and empty spots are shown in orange. Coordinators can see who is on each shift and contact them.

What Borel handles

The hard parts, taken care of

Every app is native Swift, written and built for you. These parts come with it, with nothing to set up.

  • Accounts

Sign-in with email and password, with organiser screens only your committee sees.

  • A database

A cloud database Borel runs for events, sign-ups and posts, and storage for photos.

  • AI

Borel AI with no API key: a match report from a few notes, a newsletter drafted from the month's events.

  • A live iPhone preview

A live iPhone in your browser, free on every plan, to show the committee before anyone installs it.

  • Install on your iPhone

Borel Companion puts the app on your own iPhone, with Pro, to check sign-ups at the club.

  • Publish to the App Store

Members get it from the App Store; Borel builds, signs and uploads it for you, with Pro.

To get the app onto members' phones, publish it to the App Store, which needs Apple's Developer Program ($99 a year) and Apple's review. Borel makes iPhone and iPad apps, not Android apps.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, if you ask for it. Tell Borel that the directory and events are for signed-in members only and that organisers can edit them, and it builds the app that way.

Yes. Describe the organiser role, and Borel gives those accounts the screens to add events, post news and see sign-ups.

No. Borel runs in your browser on any computer, and it builds, signs and uploads the app to the App Store on its own Mac.

Describe your app

Start from one of the prompts above, or say it in your own words. Trying it on the live iPhone is free.
