Lovable for mobile apps

Everything you like about Lovable, as a native iPhone app

Borel works the way Lovable does: you chat, watch a live preview, and get accounts, data and AI built in. The difference is what you get at the end. Borel writes a native iPhone app in Swift with SwiftUI, runs it in the iOS Simulator beside the chat, and on Pro installs it on your iPhone and publishes it to the App Store.

How it works

The Lovable way of working, for iPhone

  • 1

    Chat

Say what the app should do. Borel asks what it needs to know and plans the screens with you.

  • 2

    Watch it run

Each change lands in the real app, running in Apple's iOS Simulator in your browser.

  • 3

    Ship it

Install it on your iPhone with Borel Companion, then publish to the App Store, both on Pro.

What stays the same

Is Borel like Lovable?

In the ways that matter while you build, yes. You describe the app in a chat instead of writing code, the preview updates as the AI works, and the parts every app needs are already there: sign-in, a database, file storage and AI, run for you with nothing to set up. You start free, with credits every day.

What changes is the result. Lovable builds web apps that publish to a web address. Borel builds iPhone apps that install from the App Store.

The mobile question

Can Lovable make a mobile app?

Lovable makes web apps, and they work in a phone's browser. Its own docs say there's no built-in flow to package a project for the App Store, and point to an installable web app or a Capacitor wrapper made outside Lovable.

If you want an app people find in the App Store and keep on their home screen, with Face ID, the camera and haptics, that's what Borel is built for. Already have a Lovable app? The Lovable alternative page shows how to move it over, and Borel vs Lovable has the full comparison.

Native

What does native mean for my app?

Borel writes the app in Swift with SwiftUI, the language and framework Apple builds its own apps with, and Xcode compiles it on Borel's Mac. Lists scroll, sheets slide up and the back swipe works the way iPhone users expect, because they are the iPhone's own.

It also means the app can use the phone itself: Face ID, the camera, Apple Maps, haptics, reminders and in-app purchases, with the permission text iOS shows written for you.

On your phone

Can I try it on my own iPhone while I build?

Yes. Every build runs in the iOS Simulator in your browser, free for everyone. On Pro, Borel Companion for Windows and Mac installs the real app on your iPhone with your Apple ID, a free one included: a cable the first time, then Wi-Fi.

When it's ready, Publish builds, signs and uploads the app to App Store Connect under your own account. Apple asks for its Developer Program, $99 a year, for the App Store. Pro starts at $20 a month.

Choose Borel if…

  • You like building by chatting, and want an iPhone app at the end.
  • You want the App Store, not a web address.
  • You want to hold the app in your hand while you build it.
  • You don't have a Mac.

Frequently asked questions

Borel is built for that: the same chat-to-build way of working, with a native iPhone app in Swift and SwiftUI at the end, published to the App Store from your browser.

Yes. Paste your published Lovable app's address, or the prompt you used, and Borel builds a native SwiftUI version. It writes new Swift code rather than wrapping the website.

Every Borel app comes with sign-in by email and password, a cloud database, file storage and Borel AI, run by Borel with no keys to paste.

Borel's free plan gives 5 free credits a day, up to 30 a month, and the iOS Simulator is free. Pro starts at $20 a month and adds installing on your iPhone and publishing to the App Store.

No. Borel makes native iPhone apps, and the same app runs on iPad.

No. You describe the app in plain words. The Swift is there to download on any plan if you ever want to open it in Xcode.
