Your own Sleep Cycle-style sleep log on your iPhone
Sleep Cycle tracks your night from the phone beside your bed and wakes you inside a 30-minute window. If what you want is a plain record, bedtime, wake time, how rested you feel, describe that to Borel. It writes a native sleep log in Swift with a bedtime reminder and charts of your weeks, which you keep on your iPhone.
Updated . Borel isn’t connected to Sleep Cycle.
“A sleep log. A big button says "Going to bed" at night and "I'm up" in the morning, and I can correct the times. In the morning I rate how rested I feel from 1 to 5 and tag things like late coffee, alcohol, exercise or screens in bed. Charts show hours slept per night for 4 weeks and the average rest score per tag. Remind me 30 minutes before my 23:00 bedtime.”
About Sleep Cycle
What people like about Sleep Cycle
In our words, from what Sleep Cycle says about itself.
- A Smart Alarm that aims to wake you in your lightest sleep within a 30-minute window.
- Night noises like snoring or sleep talking, captured and tracked over time.
- A Sleep Score for routine, quality and duration, and soundscapes to fall asleep to.
Sleep Cycle offers a 30-day trial of its paid features and doesn't show the price on the pages we read.

What the prompt above builds, and what you can change by asking Borel in plain words.

Tap when you turn in and when you get up, or fix the times by hand the next morning.
How the night felt
A rested score from 1 to 5 and tags like late coffee, screens in bed or a run that day.

A wind-down nudge

Said plainly
How it's different
- It doesn't listen through the night, measure sleep stages or record snoring; you log your sleep yourself.
- There's no smart alarm that picks a light moment to wake you; the iPhone's own alarm does the waking.
- It doesn't read sleep from an Apple Watch or the Health app.
- Your app isn't Sleep Cycle and won't look or work like it: it has only what you ask Borel to build, and none of Sleep Cycle's own content.
- Your data stays in your own app: on your iPhone by default, or in your app's own database in Borel's cloud if you add accounts.
How to get yours
From the prompt to your home screen
- 1
Start from the prompt
Change anything in it first: names, rules, screens. Borel asks what it needs to know, then writes the app in Swift and SwiftUI.
- 2
Use it in your browser
It opens in a live iPhone simulator streamed from Borel's Mac, at no cost. Building starts free, with 5 free credits a day, up to 30 a month.
- 3
Keep it on your iPhone
With Pro, from $20 a month, Borel Companion installs it with a free Apple ID, up to 3 apps at a time, and renews each one every 7 days while it runs.
Frequently asked questions
No. Stages need sensors and analysis this app doesn't have. It keeps what you log and shows the patterns in it.
It can show averages, such as hours and rest score on nights tagged with exercise against nights without. It can't tell you why.
Yes. Ask for naps as their own kind of entry, and the charts can count them or leave them out.
Yes. Ask for a dark, red-tinted bedtime screen with large buttons, and Borel styles it in SwiftUI.
